Heroes

The Hero is your primary commander — every march is led by them and their level directly determines your Leadership limit (how many troops you can send).

Hero Selection

There are 15 heroes. Each has a unique passive ability. You can only use one at a time, so choose based on your current playstyle.

Talent Points

Talent points are earned every hero level. From level 86 onward you receive 10 points per level. There is no level cap stated — plan for the long term.

Four talent branches:

BranchWhat it does
Battle TacticsChance to deal double damage in combat
Expert Battle TacticsTroop training speed + army carrying capacity
EconomyBonus effects on resource tiles you’re farming
ArchaeologyBonus XP in Crypts

Priority for most players:

  1. Max Battle Tactics first — double-damage chance applies to every fight
  2. Then Expert Battle Tactics — faster training and bigger marches
  3. Archaeology if you run Crypts frequently (pays off long-term)
  4. Economy only for dedicated gathering alts

Talents apply at all times regardless of where your hero is. Respeccing costs 18,000 Gold (or a reset item from events). Plan before you spend.

Leadership Limit

Your Leadership limit determines how many trained troops you can send in one march. It scales with:

  • Hero level
  • Captain bonuses
  • Equipment (dedicated leadership gear)
  • Research (Academy)
  • Titles (held via Clash for the Throne)
  • Dragon presence in the march

Growing your Leadership limit is the single most impactful progression you can make — a bigger march means more damage, more resources gathered, and more event points per attack.

Equipment Sets

Your hero has 6 equipment slots. Craft multiple sets and swap before each activity:

SetPrioritise
CombatArmy strength, army health, leadership
GatheringCarrying capacity, gathering speed
Monster huntingCrypt XP, army strength vs monsters

See Resources & Equipment for crafting details.
